Samuel Eto'o has asked Barcelona to lower his £120 million buyout clause.
El Mundo Deportivo says while Eto'o is happy at the Nou Camp, he wants to avoid a repeat of this summer's failure to get a move away if his relationship with the club again turns sour.
The Cameroon international met with Txiki Begiristain last week and the Barca sports director has agreed to rewrite his contract's buyout clause - though no figure has yet been made public.
