Young hints at new Aston Villa deal

Ashley Young has hinted he's ready to sign a new contract with Aston Villa.

Young said: "What about my own contract situation? I am just happy playing my football. But, if anything like that comes about, I'll be delighted.

"I've got this season and two more years left. I'm happy, really happy with how things are going, happy here at Aston Villa.

"I am just looking to build on the performances of last season during this season and I'm glad we got off to a good start at the weekend against Manchester City.

"Would I like to commit to a new contract? Of course. It is a fantastic club. I am delighted I'm playing here."

O'Neill said: "Ashley has been fantastic for us and we are in conversation with him over that (a new contract).

"He hasn't come and asked for anything. He has got a number of years left of the deal he signed when he came here to run but I'd like to sort him out (with a new contract)."
